The Wood House

Every year Ben and I go up to South Carolina with his family! The guys hunt and the girls lounge around!and go shopping!.... (Ben's mom Sherryl will hunt sometimes too though). It is always so fun to go up there and just relax! They call it the "wood house". It is in a small town right outside of Walterbero called Lodge! It has one red light and one store where you can get hardware, candy,flavorings for cakes, it also has a small kitchen in the back that cooks the best burgers you have ever had! While we were up there Mr Jim killed an 8 point deer! and Morgan went bowling for the first time!

"GAL PAL"

My friends and I used to never think anything about just going to the beach and hanging out during the summer! We were always over at each others houses! doing what ever we wanted! We used to call them "GAL PALS" (I dont know why) and they never had to be planned in advance!! Ohh how times have changed!! We have to plan months in advance it seems like to just go to dinner! We are all just so busy!! Now that all of us are either in school or have jobs! or both! We decided to have us a little girls weekend! We stayed in Fernandina Beach at the Hampton Inn and Emily's dad was renting a beach house down the road so we used his beach access and pool! (thanks Mr Bubba). We also ate dinner at The Surf! and had tons of fun! There is never a dull moment with these girls! here are a couple pics of our weekend! Evidently this purple shirt of mine must be a fav! I wear it all the time!..I also put an old pic in here of one of our girls nights that was in Fernandina also! I think this one was from Jenn's 18th birthday! :)

Wedding Doings

Try not to faint!! but yes!! I am wedding planning!! Slowly but surely this wedding will come together! ( if my sister doesnt kill me in the process! ..im soo indecisive)..First my sister, mother, and I went to a bridal show at the Ramada Inn in Mandarin. It was kind of small but who doesn't love to walk around and try out all the vendors! Photographers, Caterers, cake people, ...fun! We looked at books from other peoples weddings, tried cupcakes, fondue fountains, ect. WE had a BLAST!......

Second, ..........I found a place to have the wedding! My sister took me to go see the Garden Club of Jacksonville! So pretty!!! So it is booked for us on July,23rd, 2010! :)

our monthly event

Every month I plan an event for all the ladies in my family to get together! We all go and try out a new restaurant . This month we went to J Alexanders at the Town Center! Every month these ladies never cease to amaze me! I love seeing what they wear! what jewelry they will be wearing ! Usually there is tons of laughs! They are all so fun!! ....And there is always a "Gale ism" somewhere! ...like this time Gale was telling Lacey to "doodie daddy" somebody ...aka text message!! I love them ! and enjoy the time I get to spend with them~

cantina loredo

My sister had been telling me that she wanted us to try out Cantina Loredo! So me, Ben, Kendra, and Donald all gave it a try this past weekend! It was awesome! If you haven't been and love Mexican you should go!...Well after we had all finished eating the guys decided to get creative! and make what they called a "master piece" out of some of our left overs! I thought I would share that with you! :)

I'M ENGAGED!!!!!

Ben and I went down to Orlando for the hair show with all of the girls from the salon and their significant others also my sister and brother in-law came too. The Saturday night before the hair show started Ben took me to Del Frisco's in Winter Park! It is a beautiful restaurant with awesome food (there is also one in New York). We got there and we had our own private dinning room! With pink and white rose petals on the table and a gorgeous chandelier! (I thought what is going on here?). Well, we had our dinner which was amazing! and Ben ordered us some cheesecake. When the waiter brought out our dessert there was two plates..one with cheese cake and one with a cup upside down on a plate. Ben goes "whats under there". Nosey me!..I pick it up and its a box with a ring inside!! YAY!! then he asked "will you marry me" and I said YES! well actually at first I said "are you serious"?!
